SARAH HEINEMANN

BIO

Sarah Heinemann (USA, 1977) is Chicago born, New York  based artist who attended Smith College and holds a BFA in painting from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Solo exhibitions include SARDINE Gallery in Bushwick and The Knockdown Center in Maspeth, Queens featuring paintings as well as site-specific wall installations. Selected group exhibitions include Tiger Strikes Asteroid in Los Angeles, Bird Brooklyn, The Whitney Houston Biennial;, The RE:Institute, and a co-curatorial position for the exhibition of Hunter MFA students at Hauser and Wirth, New York. Heinemann has worked for the studio of Sol LeWitt since 2000, executing his wall drawings for museums, galleries, and private collections. She is currently an MFA candidate at CUNY Hunter, class of 2022.
